Noon - 4 pm. Arboretum. South Chagrin Reservation in Bentleyville. FREE! Kids Can Explore Nature At Cleveland Metroparks Knee-High Naturalists Event. Cleveland Metroparks offers many great special events for all ages, but the “Knee-High Naturalists” event focuses on the younger age group! Small children are drawn to creative play, nature exploration and trying new things. Cleveland Metroparks free annual “Knee-High Naturalists” event encourages children, ages 2 to 6, to do all those things and more! The free event features a variety of activities, giving budding young nature-lovers the opportunity to explore, play, learn, and more through nature exploration. Some of the activities include: Hikes with “Nora the Explorer”, Discovery Sand Box, Giant Habitat Felt Board, Crafty Picnic Area, Necktie Snakes, Live Animals, Touch Table. There will be photo opportunities, too.  Adults should be sure to bring cameras to capture the memories.  And there’s more!  Bee, butterfly, beaver, and other animal costumes for kids to borrow and enjoy, a roving “chipmunk” character to see, and nature play area will make this an event not to be missed!  Light refreshments will be available for sale at the event.  440-247-7075. www.clemetparks.com.
